  1. Tell us a little about yourself and what you do outside the gym.
    I’m a hairstylist who’s always been passionate about fitness. During COVID, I worked out at home, but once gyms reopened, I returned for the social, physical, and mental benefits.
  2. What inspired you to start your fitness journey, and how did you get started?
    Fitness has always been a part of my life, but after COVID, I made a stronger commitment to my health. I lost 40 pounds and began increasing the intensity of my workouts. I’ve worked with personal trainers throughout my journey, combining cardio and weights. Chris at Catalyst even helped me improve my nutrition.
  3. How long have you been a member at Catalyst Fitness, and how has your routine evolved?
    I’ve been a member for over 30 years—since it was Gold’s Gym! I visit different locations like Wehrle, Elmwood, Maple, and French Road, which keeps me motivated. I make it a point to work out every day, and the variety of locations helps keep things fresh.
  4. Have you faced any challenges, and how did you overcome them?
    Finding time for the gym and prioritizing my health hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned to make it a part of my schedule.
  5. What motivates you to keep coming back to the gym?
    The change of scenery from visiting different Catalyst locations and the sense of community are major motivators.
  6. Who or what inspires you to push yourself during workouts?
    My close friends inspire me, and knowing that my workouts energize me for the rest of the day keeps me going.
  7. What are some goals you’ve achieved since joining Catalyst, and what are you working toward next?
    I’m proud of my weight loss, I have lost 40 pounds. My next goals are to tone up more and lose a little more weight.
  8. How has being part of the Catalyst community impacted your fitness journey?
    The Catalyst community keeps me coming back. I’ve made friends here who hold me accountable and make workouts enjoyable.
  9. What advice would you give to someone just starting out on their fitness journey?
    The first two weeks may be tough, but it gets easier every day. Stay positive and keep at it—you won’t regret it!
